Some folks always seem to know just what to do; others learn by trial and error. When you're in the last category, at least life is full of surprises!

New play dough!
This was a perfect activity for a cold and drizzly winter afternoon: making gluten free play dough! It kept two quarrelsome four year olds enthralled for at least one and a half hour :-)) The recipe is all over the Internet really, but I found it at: Coeliac UK. Have fun!
As long as I can remember I've been making stuff. My mom had these series of books I never got tired of studying as a child: on how to make your own jewelry, felt animals, paper filigrain, macrame plant hangers, you name it. Very seventies, and very alluring, they inspired me for many a project (too bad weblogs didn't exist at the time...) The eagerness to acquire new skills never wore off, and I truly love to experiment, although I guess my enthusiasm for improvising at least partly originates in having rather an impatient nature (who wants to read such a thing as instructions before starting out? I ask you!)
